German Financial Software Products and Services Company uses SoftSol to transform a key software product from Forte/UDS to Java/ J2EE technology

Baden Baden, Germany – June 29, 2007 – Infoscore Software Service GmbH, a developer of payment and other back-office financial processing software, announced that it has deployed the COSIMA server-side application, which was converted by using SoftSol Resources Forte migration tools and services. The COSIMA application was converted from 2 million lines of Forte 4GL code to Java/J2EE.

SoftSol has also been awarded the contract by Infoscore Software Service GmbH to convert their 1 million lines of GUI code to Java/ J2EE.

The COSIMA application is an automated debt-collection system processing 40,000 transactions per day for over 7 million accounts. It handles debt collection, claims management, and other administrative management functions for Infoscore Software Service on a 7x24 basis,

The original system had been built using Forte Software’s 4GL, which is no longer supported by Sun Microsystems. Infoscore Software Service GmbH needed to modernize the system to a technology base that could be extended on an ongoing basis.
